Users
Users are their own item in the admin sidebar, under Users. The screen title is Users, and the line under it is Manage system users.
The list
New user adds a user. Show sets how many rows the page holds. The usual count is 10. Search filters the rows.
Each row shows:
- User. The full name, with the email on the line under it.
- Role. The role that user has.
- Status. Active when the user can sign in.
- Registered. The date the account was added.
- Actions. Edit opens the form.
The line under the table states which rows are on the page, out of the full count. Previous and Next move between pages. The numbers between them are the pages.
Create and edit
New user opens an empty form. Edit on a row opens the same form with that user filled in. The screen title for a new record is New user, and the line under it is Create a new user (Super Admin only).
Creating a user is limited to a Super Admin.
User information
Full name is required.
Username is required. It may use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. The names admin, test, and demo cannot be used.
Email is required.
Password is required. It must be at least 8 characters.
Password again is required. It has to match the password.
Authorization
Role is required. The roles are Super Admin, Admin, Editor, and Member. The line under the field says to choose the user role, and that a Super Admin has every permission.
An editor can view content and enter content. That is the whole of the role. The editor does not see the rest of the panel. Blog is the only screen open to that role.
Active user is the state the list shows as Active.
Cancel leaves the form without writing it. Create user writes the user.
