Products
Products are their own item in the Agency admin sidebar, under Products. The screen title is Products, and the line under it is Manage products for sale.
The list and the form use the same layout as Services. What changes is the fields. The screenshots on this page are that shared layout. The columns and fields below are the product ones.
The list
New product adds a product. Show sets how many rows the page holds. The usual count is 10. Search filters the rows.
Each row shows:
- Product. The product name, with its category on the line under it.
- Price. The amount in effect. When a discounted price is set, the price before the discount is shown with it.
- Type. Digital, physical, or service.
- Views. How many times the public page has been opened.
- Sales. How many times the product has been sold.
- Downloads. How many times the file has been downloaded.
- Featured. A star when the product is marked featured.
- Status. Active when the product is in use.
- Actions. Edit opens the form. Delete removes the row.
The line under the table states which rows are on the page, out of the full count. Previous and Next move between pages.
The amounts on the list follow the currency the panel is displaying. On the form, type the price in the default currency from Configuration. The panel converts that entry and stores every price in USD, so the catalog stays on one base.
Create and edit
New product opens an empty form. Edit on a row opens the same form with that product filled in. The screen title for a new record is New product, and the line under it is Create a new product.
The screenshot is the top of the form. The sections below sit on the same page.
Basic information
Category is required. It is a category from the products group on Categories.
The language tabs come from Languages. The default language stays first, and the required fields on that tab have to be filled. This site currently has three languages, and English is the default, so English is the tab in front. Editing shows which language you are filling. Product name, slug, short description, and detailed description belong to that language.
Product name is required.
Slug is the unique segment used in the URL.
Short description is the line shown on the card.
Detailed description is the longer text, written in the editor on the form.
Tags. Type a tag and press Enter or comma.
Images
Featured image is required. One image. Click the area, or drag a file onto it. Choose from gallery uses an image that is already stored. The limit is 10 MB.
Gallery images are optional. More than one can be selected. The same limit applies to each file.
Pricing
Price is required. It is the yearly price, and the two must be the same. That pair is the default pricing, so it has to be filled. The panel uses the yearly figure as the default.
Type the amount in the default currency from Configuration. The panel converts the entry and stores it in USD, so every price shares one base.
Discounted price is optional. A discount applies to the yearly price.
Monthly price and Lifetime price are optional. They show on the public price when you add them. Choosing monthly or lifetime changes the amount under the price.
Lifetime price is a single amount. It is not discounted. Set it as the lifetime charge. A discount on the yearly price does not change it.
Product type is required. The choices are Digital, Physical, and Service. Service is its own type. It is not the same thing as a row on the services list.
Purchase type is required. The choices are Buy, Request a quote, and Both.
Request a quote is the one to use. It sends the visitor to the quote page. Buy would send them to payment. Payment is not fully integrated, and the stack is in test mode, so that path is not in live use. A later update may turn it on, and it may already be on when you read this. Both shows the two buttons on the product page.
Buy is present on the form, and it is not the path to use yet. Payment method and Invoice method stay off while the stack is in test mode. The same note is under Configuration.
Stock is for a physical product.
Links
Demo URL is the public demo.
Admin demo URL is a demo that can be opened from the admin panel.
Documentation URL points at the product’s documentation.
Download type is Link, File, or Both. File is where you add the archive yourself, such as a rar. Link is an address you give. Both uses the two together.
Download link is that address.
A purchase does not open the licence or the download link on its own. The sale stays under Sales until you approve it. That step is there for security. You can turn the approval off. A later update may change how this works.
External link is a single address outside the site, such as Fiverr or Upwork.
External links is the repeatable list, such as a YouTube video or a mobile app. Add link inserts one.
Features
Add feature inserts a feature of the product.
Technologies
Add technology inserts a technology used by the product.
System requirements
Add system requirement inserts one requirement.
Extra services
Select included services offers services on this product. Each one can add its own amount on the public page.
Only a service whose status is Internal service appears in this list. Set that status on Services. An active service stays on the public service list and is not offered here.
Version and file types
Version is the product’s version. The form starts at 1.0.0. When you set it, the products you ship can check this version.
File types. Type an extension and press Enter or comma. The field hint uses .exe, .zip, and .rar.
FAQ
Questions already stored on FAQ. A general question is offered on a product and on a service. A product question is offered here. Each row has a checkbox, the group, and the question. The ones you select are shown on this product. The field is the same one used on a service.
Other settings
Order is the sequence. The form starts at 0.
Requires a licence. Turn this on when a sale should create a licence on its own. Leave it off and create the licence by hand when you want that step yourself.
Featured is the same mark the list shows with a star.
Active is the status the list shows for a product that is in use.
Cancel leaves the form without writing it. Save writes the product.
